Just Keep Shooting. Then keep shooting some more.

One of the biggest issues I find with beginning photographers is the "good enough" mentality. This is the idea that bugs me the most. For instance, let's say that you set a goal to take a nice photo of your kid. You photograph them from your standard position, check the back of your camera, like what you see, and move on to something else.

For those of you doing this...stop. Just stop. And I don't mean stop shooting. Just the opposite. KEEP SHOOTING! Digital is free. Memory cards are reusable, batteries are rechargeable and the only limit is your time and the opportunity before you. But some of even the opportunity can be changed. Instead of just one angle, what about many? Instead of just one background, what about many? Why not? Instead of shooting at "acceptable" camera settings, why not play around with some of them?

I guess a better thought about taking photos is to "explore" with your camera. Always make time to be curious. You won't regret it, and your photos will just keep getting better.
