How much do you print?

An internet pioneer made a statement recently in that our civilization as it is may cause another dark age if we don't figure out a more concrete means of preserving our history.

In photography, that means our photos. It struck me lately that while I have many thousands of photos of my children, I have very few of them in print. I realized that if my computer catches on fire, I would lose some images (fortunately, I have online backups, but those companies might not exist for my future children and grandchildren).

The image that you see at the top of this post is one that I discovered recently as I was just casually going through old photos on my computer. Once I found it, I realized it's importance in our family. I then had it printed in a large canvas and have it now hanging on the wall in our home. Images are precious. Time is fleeting. It's easy to forget and lose digital files. So this next question is for you? Do you print your pictures? Maybe you should? If not for you, then for others.
